KWANZAA CELEBRATION

Kwanzaa Collective is having their 32nd annual “Keeping Kwanzaa in the Tradition” Celebration on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 (the first day of Kwanzaa) at Boys & Girls High School (located at 1700 Fulton Street in BedStuy-Brooklyn, New York) from 3:00 – 9:00 pm. The Kwanzaa Collective is celebrating with a Karamu (feast) honoring the legacy of Baba Mzee Moyo (a co-founder of the organization).

Kwanzaa Collective was founded on the principle of Umoja (unity). The collective is a consortium of cultural institutions and organizations formulated in Central Brooklyn spanning over three decades. “Keeping Kwanzaa in the Tradition” was the initial theme addressing the concerns and forging a way for continuous cultural relevant programs each year.
