    ABOUT EN FOCO’S ARTIST:
Rojelio Reyes Rodriguez is a Mexican-American photographer, living and working in New York. This body of work, MI SANGRE, documents Reyes Rodriguez’s rediscovery of his Mexican roots.
These thoughtful portraits encompass proud iconic images of the people in his beloved Mexico. One of an elder, Doña Olga, strikes a religious undertone resembling Mexico’s patron Saint Virgen De Guadalupe; another of Don Pancho, a former Mayor of Tequisquiapan in Querétaro, embodies the rich and proud culture of the Mexican people.

Reyes Rodriguez states, “This photo essay highlights the cultural and religious imagery on both sides of the border and documents the diversity of expressions of mexicanidad across various age groups.” His rich, detailed black and white photographs give the viewer a close look at varied elements of Mexican culture.
